This spellbinding design is so much more than a brown rug. A new member of the Mineheart rug collection, this cowhide rug design is called In Nomine Patris - ‘in the name of the father’.
It is a design by Furio Brigo, a photographer based in Veneto, Italy. He is passionate about Urbex - the photography of abandoned places. This image was taken inside a forgotten church. Clearly this historic building was once very beautiful, inspiring Furio to give it the subtitle ‘What it was in its beauty.’
This once revered space is now falling into disrepair. Debris lies all over the floor, along with broken furniture and thick layers of dust. It is a very moving image that creates mixed emotions.
This brown rug is one of three designs in this collection by Furio Brigo. The others are both taken in a disused mental hospital and are called Asylum 22 and Asylum 2. They are all thought-provoking and somewhat haunting designs that create real atmosphere in any space. Could this be a mesmerising bedroom rug?
