At first glance you might think you are looking at a Salvador Dali print. We see a girl basking in the sunshine on the beach as the sea calmly laps the sand without making a sound. Also we see white fabric that covers her body and also inexplicably floats above her in an unexplained way. So at first inspection after our glance we notice that colour aside there isn’t as much in common with Salvador Dali as we first thought. However we look closer still and see the Jelly Fish like shapes formed above, floating as they might if they were in the ocean. The surrealism though not quite as blatant as with Dali is certainly apparent but then its also absent if we look upon the floating fabric as simply just fabric. Serene yet vivid colours and thought provoking content make this photographic work a real treat for aesthetic reasons as well as conceptual.

Himitsuhana started research in photography in 2007. She investigates the inner relation between photography and painting, and takes inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelites painters and Liberty style. She has worked as designer for storybooks, fashion and entertainment sectors. "I believe that photography is more than technique, it is more than having an expensive equipment. I am deeply convinced that photography (the way it means to me) is not the camera, it is the eye that stands behind the camera. My aim is to portray every single glance of the human soul and encourage people to dream and never stop believing in dreams."
