Familiar and yet subtly irreverent the ‘Once upon our time’ wallpaper take classic “toile” patterns from the past, and gives them a new highly modern perspective. Designed by Young & Battaglia. The colour scheme of this collection is a mixture of traditional and modern colour-ways and includes black, pink, blue, white and grey. The wallpaper is printed on a hardwearing smooth paper that is simple to install with no wallpapering table needed. This wallpaper collection is a perfect subtle addition for a bedroom, hallway or cloakroom, adding a touch of 18th Century Paris meets schoolboy doodles.

“…we based the pattern on traditional ‘toile’ but we used a scribble style of drawing combined with purposefully bad colouring in reminiscent of a very small child. From a distance it could be mistaken as normal, but up close you can see the design actually features modern scenes and elements of our current time. City scenes like teenagers eating pizza and drinking cola in the park, scooters, pugs, lolly-pop ladies, and someone on their mobile phone. You may even spot ourselves and other members of our family in there somewhere. It’s like a snapshot of now, like a souvenir!”
