Japanese Repose Footstool Designed by Himitsuhana
A pouf footstool designed to add artistry to any interior design. The Japanese Repose small footstool is a unique way to bring a new mood and character to any space - from a bedroom or living space to a hotel lobby or office breakout area.
Originally a canvas print, Japanese Repose is a much loved creation from one of Mineheart’s favourite artists, Himitsuhana. She uses a blend of photographic artistry and digital techniques to create atmospheric and sensual images that our customers love. This piece takes inspiration from the traditional Japanese Geisha, creating a monochrome image with the stunning contrast of red lipstick.
This small footstool design began as wall art, but in true Mineheart style, we felt it was too good not to adapt into other interior options. It is also available as a luxurious rug. We asked customers to vote on the wallpaper designs and wall art that should be added to our pouf footstool collection. Unsurprisingly, Japanese Repose received a large number of votes!
Our designer footstools blend digitally fabric printing with upholstery, stretching the material over a wooden cylindrical form. By keeping the shape simple, the design is displayed in the most unspoilt way. At a weight of around 10 kilograms, this small footstool is very stable and comfortable. With a 42cm height, it is perfectly sized for both seating and to support the feet.
