Hotel room with a cosmopolitan feel
Designed by Moem Studio
Designs used: Diagonal Stripe Marble Wallpaper
An interior design project for the renovation of a former office building which is to be turned into a 100-room hotel. Our role is to design the various types of guest rooms, the corridors, the lobby, a restaurant and a gym. It is a mid-range/high-end hotel serving guests who are on holiday or a business trip.
The design for the rooms will give them a fresh, open feel, while ensuring they are warm and welcoming. The views from the large windows will be an integral part of the design, giving the rooms a cosmopolitan feel with the city’s skyline as a backdrop. Colour will also play an important role, and so too the use of ceramics and contemporary wallpaper by Mineheart. The latter will cover the largest wall in each room, thus providing both personality and vigour.
The interior design, besides the choice of materials, gives a nod to design classics, both in terms of the furniture and the spaces created by the likes of Gio Ponti, Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis Group. This unique blend of materials and inspiration has made it possible to create guest bedrooms with a ground-breaking atmosphere. This is just what the property needs in order to set it apart from the more classical designs which are found in the hotels in the area.
