Man in the Clouds is a new artwork inspired by master of surrealism art, Rene Magritte. This quirky wall art design comes from Mineheart favourite Kirin Young. It’s a surreal mix of Renaissance with a blue sky that gives a whole new angle to the expression 'airhead.’
Kirin’s inspiration for this blue sky wall art project was Magritte’s fascination with blue skies and clouds - usually paired with his signature bowler hat.
This noble gentleman originally appeared in a Renaissance portrait, but he is gradually disappearing into the sky behind him. We can only imagine what the rest of the painting would have looked like… but we love the way that a traditionally dark and serious artwork is lifted by the sunny skies behind.
This is not the first Magritte pastiche in the Mineheart collection. Take a look at Birth of Venus - which also incorporates the famous Wave off Kanagawa - and Mona Lisa Apple. Expectations Fly High is another very popular piece of surrealism art.
Something that customers love about our wall art is that it’s so versatile. Man in the Clouds is available in small, medium and large. You can also choose a stretched canvas or a white box frame.
