Looking for a flat weave rug with a difference for your next interior design project? You won’t find anything quite like this haunting design.
A new addition to the Mineheart designer rug collection, this flat weave rug is called Asylum 2 - lost twins. It is based on photographic artwork by Furio Brigo, based in Veneto, Italy.
Furio is a devotee of Urbex - the photography of abandoned places. This photograph was taken in a building that was previously a mental hospital. Clearly this structure is very historical and was once very beautiful, but has since taken on a more sinister feel, having fallen into disrepair. There is something very moving about the brightness and greenery outside the windows, against the peeling paint and lonely seats within.
Furio Brigo has also created two other flat weave rugs in this collection, called Asylum 22 and In Nomine Patris. These are similarly emotional images that will add a thought provoking air to any space.
One of the big benefits in choosing luxury rugs from Mineheart is that they are as practical as they are beautiful. This flat weave rug has rubber backing to prevent it from slipping, and its acrylic material means it’s a washable rug that’s very hard wearing. An ideal grey living room rug.
Mineheart designs are all customisable, too. Would you prefer a larger size or an alternative shape for this rug? Contact us and we’ll create a bespoke version that is perfect for your needs.
